Is everyone suitable for Invisalign treatment?
Yes, most patients throughout Billericay are suitable for Invisalign treatment. We need to assess your mouth at your initial consultation to make sure that your teeth and gums are in a relatively healthy condition. In some rare instances, like where a patient has a severe bite problem, we would not recommend using Invisalign.
How long does it take to straighten teeth using Invisalign?
Every patient is different, and it will depend upon the severity of your orthodontic case. Other factors will affect the length of treatment time such as whether you are wearing your Invisalign aligners for the recommended minimum of 20 hours a day. On average, most patients complete their teeth straightening with Invisalign within 12 months.
Do I really have to remove my Invisalign aligners every time I want to eat or drink?
We recommend taking your Invisalign aligners out before eating or drinking anything other than water. If you eat with your aligners in your mouth, you are likely to chew straight through them. Dark coloured foods and drinks like coffee or red wine are likely to stain your aligners making them unsightly and unhygienic. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you get into the routine of removing your Invisalign aligners before mealtimes.
