Complaints procedure

Code of Practice for Patient Complaints

In this practice we take complaints very seriously indeed and try to ensure that all our patients are pleased with their experience of our service. When patients complain, they are dealt with courteously and promptly so that the matter is resolved as quickly as possible. This procedure is based on these objectives.

Our aim is to react to complaints in the way in which we would want our complaint about a service to be handled. We learn from every mistake that we make and we respond to customers’ concerns in a caring and sensitive way.

  1. The person responsible for dealing with any complaint about the service which we provide Dr Sunil Chudasama, Principle Dentist.
  2. If a patient complains on the telephone or in person, we will listen to their complaint and offer to refer him or her to the Principle Dentist immediately. If the Principle Dentist is not available at the time, then the patient will be informed when they will be able to talk to the Principle Dentist and arrangements will be made for this to happen. The member of staff will take brief details of the complaint and pass them on to the Principle Dentist. If we cannot arrange this within a reasonable period or if the patient does not wish to wait to discuss the matter, arrangements will be made for someone else to deal with it.
  3. If the patient complains in writing or by email, it will be passed on immediately to the Principle Dentist, Dr Sunil Chudasama.
  4. If a complaint is about any aspect of clinical care or associated charges it will normally be referred to the dentist concerned, unless the patient does not want this to happen.
  5. We will acknowledge the patient’s complaint in writing and enclose a copy of this code of practice within three working days.
  6. We will seek to investigate the complaint within ten working days of receipt to give an explanation of the circumstances which led to the complaint. If the patient does not wish to meet us, then we will attempt to talk to them on the telephone. If we are unable to investigate the complaint within ten working days we will notify the patient, giving reasons for the delay and a likely period within which the investigation will be completed.
  7. We will confirm the decision about the complaint in writing immediately after completing our investigation.
  8. Proper and comprehensive records are kept of any complaint received as well as any actions taken to improve services as a consequence of a complaint.

I have always wanted to straighten my teeth, especially one that was super wonky at the front. It made me not want to smile & I would always put my hand over my mouth if I laughed etc. I want to do a thorough video talking about everything but for now this post will do! I used @dentalkind in Billericay who luckily are just around the corner from where I work!! 😁 Sunil has done such a great job on my final touches too, filling in my last few gaps, straightening up and tweaking them to perfection. I still need to have my whitening done which I’m double excited for. Dentist, please give me a 🦷. This lady had a visible space, did not like smiling and could not afford dental implants. We work with our patients to find suitable solutions to work within their budget.
Here we have a standard porcelain-metal adhesive bridge and this was all completed in 2 weeks. This process involved no drilling and should last many years to come. More aesthetic metal free options also exist (at a higher fee). A positive outcome and another smile improved in time for the weekend! 😁

Composite Smile Makeover .
This young lady wanted to improve her smile and didn’t want to undergo orthodontic treatment. After discussion of her options we agreed to place eight composite veneers. .
Several photos and a 3D scan were used in a digital smile design process. We work with our labs to create the ideal proportions and a result that was in harmony with her face. Thanks to @densign_lab for the amazing digital wax ups. .
The treatment was completed over 3 visits... 1. Placement 2. Refinement 3. Review.

Here we replaced 2 missing teeth using an all ceramic bridge for a natural βœ… comfortable βœ… strong βœ… and aesthetic βœ… outcome.
The patient did not want to have dental implant treatment.
Process: (1) Designing the bridge via a digital wax up process (2) Careful preparation of the teeth to support the bridge (3) Test drive the bridge design with a provisional bridge (4) Final zirconia bridge delivered using a copy of the provisional (NO adjustments were required)
