Anti-Wrinkle Injections

What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections is currently the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment around. The treatment is used to soften existing lines and prevent the deepening and development of expression lines. At FaceKind we believe in creating natural results that will keep others guessing why you’re looking so refreshed!

Anti-wrinkle injections has been used for many years in medicine to treat conditions such as overactive bladder, cervical dystonia and blepharospasm. Over the years this prescription only medication has become increasingly popular for its anti-ageing benefits.

How does anti-wrinkle injections work?

Anti-wrinkle injections is a neurotoxin that works by blocking nerve signals to temporarily relax muscles and thereby reducing muscle contraction. As a result, the skin that drapes over these muscles appear smoother and the overall result is a more youthful appearance. Anti-wrinkle injections generally take 2-5 days to kick in and the full effect can be judged at the 2-week mark.

Anti-wrinkle injections is temporary, with results wearing off over time, typically at around the 3–4-month mark.  Longevity of treatment is dependent on several individual factors including metabolism. With regular treatments, muscle movement won’t return to baseline and results will eventually last longer.

How is anti-wrinkle injections administered?

The treatment is administered using a very fine needle and is virtually painless. The process itself takes only minutes to complete and there is no downtime involved so patients can return to work immediately.

Our Aesthetics practitioner will ensure that all aftercare advice is discussed on the day of treatment and the procedure will be carried out in a calming and comfortable environment.

Ample time is booked out for your treatment so that the process isn’t rushed and there is an opportunity to discuss any queries or concerns you may have.
